“The Sea and Us”invites youth in Burgas to an eco-actionon the occasion of Black Sea Day

🌊 The newest initiative exclusively created by youth “The Sea and Us” has organised an eco-action on 30^th October at 1:00 p.m. and is open to all. The occasion is Black Sea Day, which is one day later. The meeting point is “Saxa Beach” on Burgas North Beach.

The second part of the ecologic event is on 26^th November in the Burgas Library. In this part 15 to 29-year-olds will be able to participate in activitiesrelated to protecting the environment. “The Sea and Us” was created by four girls from Burgas – Mikaela, Martina, Gloriya, and Rositsa while they were in the “Youth Academy for Socialpreneurship”. Their assignment was to create a project with a meaningful cause. Afterpresenting their project in front of a commission, they earned financial support to execute their idea.

✨“Join our innitiative for cleaning the bay so that our city can become a more beautiful, cosier place. Gloves, garbage bags, and all other materials will be provided.”, said the main organiser, Mikaela Ilieva. The eventis also supported by the concessionaire of the Burgas North Beach.

📌The initiative was funded by “UNICEF Bulgaria and Burgas Municipality – Together in Support of Vulnerable Children and Youth”, financedby Bulgaria, The Child Fund of UN, and the Program for the Country for years 2023-2027 under the Main Agreement.
