Switzerland offers scholarships to Bulgarian doctoral students, scholars, and artists for the academic year 2024-2025

🚀 The Embassy of Switzerland in Bulgaria, in collaboration with the Center for Advanced Studies Sofia (https://cas.bg), announces its annual competition for scholarships for Bulgarian citizens who have completed higher education, as well as for those wishing to specialize in the field of arts for the academic year 2024/2025.

The scholarships are granted by the Swiss Federal Government.

Opportunities for candidates from Bulgaria are in four categories:

1️⃣ Art – within a master’s program or research in Switzerland for artists/researchers from various fields of art.

2️⃣ Scientific specialization for Bulgarian doctoral students – for candidates conducting their doctoral studies in Bulgaria and wishing to undertake scientific and/or medical specialization in Switzerland;

3️⃣ Doctoral studies at a Swiss university – for candidates with a master’s degree who want to pursue doctoral studies at a Swiss educational/scientific institution;

4️⃣ Postdoctoral scientific research – for candidates with a doctoral degree.

🛎️ After carefully reviewing the published information, the application procedure, and ensuring that they meet all the requirements, candidates can contact the contact person at the Center for Advanced Studies to receive the application package.

🕛 The application package from candidates from Bulgaria must be submitted to the Center for Advanced Studies by November 20, 2023.

Candidates go through three stages of evaluation:

document-based evaluation;

with the admitted candidates, interviews will be conducted in the second half of November and early December 2023 in Sofia;

a proposal to the Expert Commission with the nominated candidates to the Swiss Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation, where the final selection is made.
