Українська🚴 A total of 158 people participated in the last competition of the year in the national triathlon calendar organized by the Bulgarian Triathlon Association. The event took place over the weekend in partnership with the Municipality of Burgas. The center of the event was the North Beach, cycling was along the alley to the “Sarafovo” district, and the running part was along “Pomoriyska” Street.
🌊 To ensure the safety of each participant, the “Crisis Situations and Violations Commission” decided to eliminate the swimming segment for all age groups. The reason was the meteorological conditions reported at the time, so the competition took place in the format of a “duathlon.”
📋 Nationally represented sports clubs, members of the Bulgarian Triathlon Association, and registered athletes from Ukraine participated in the event. All were divided into 6 age groups and individual starts. The start on Saturday began with three of the age groups: “Men/Women” +19 y.o., “Youth/Girls” 17-18 y.o., and “Senior Age” 15-16 y.o.
Winners:
🏅 National competitor Alexander Bozhilov from SCPS “Kosmos” – Sofia defended his title from the previous two competitions and won the gold medal in the Men +19 y.o. category. Alongside him on the podium with the silver medal was Borislav Palashev from SCT “Palashev” – Pazardzhik. The bronze went to Boris Andreev from SCT “Tri Team” – Sofia. In the Women +19 y.o. final, the gold medal was won by Anastasiya Peycheva from SCT “Palashev” – Pazardzhik. The silver went to Mevsin Mahmudova from SC “Triathlon-Dalyan” – Ruse. The bronze was awarded to Evelina Zlatanova from SCT “Tri Team” – Varna.

🏅 Athletes from 13 clubs of the Bulgarian Triathlon Association participated in the national championship, and in the team ranking, the results placed TC “Triathlete” – Banya first, SCT “Palashev” – Pazardzhik second, and SCPS “Kosmos” – Sofia third.
Dragomir Boyadzhiev, the Chairman of the Bulgarian Triathlon Association, expressed gratitude for the kind hospitality of the Municipality of Burgas, to all judges, volunteers, participants, and the audience.
