УкраїнськаCommunity center “St. Cyril and Methodius – 1985” is inviting all students in Burgas and the country to participate in this competition. The comic theme is “A Christmas Story” and it is dedicated to the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.
Its aim is through the means of fine arts, animation, cartoons, and writing to unite and stimulate children to be creative.
The story should be presented in 4 to 6 drawings on an A3 paper. There should also be descriptions to clarify what the characters are doing (their dialogues or thoughts).
There are two categories of comic books:
“Drawing”: The participants are free to choose the techniques and materials they use (paint, pencils, crayons, markers).
“Computer drawing”: There are no restrictions on the graphic software. There have to be no pictures inserted. They should be drawn by hand with the drawing tools in the graphic software used.
Students from 1st to 12th grade can participate in the competition.
The student’s name, age, city, grade, school, phone, and e-mail should be written on the back of the comic book.
The comic books that meet the competition’s conditions will be reviewed and graded by Elisaveta Angelova and Nikolay Angelov-Gary. These painters are part of the Society of Artists – Burgas and have won many awards in Bulgaria and abroad.

The competition is individual, and the works will NOT be returned!
On 15th December 2023, the winners will be announced on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/chitalishteKiriliMetodii, and on www.chitalishte-km.org. They will receive awards, and all participants will be sent a participation certificate on their e-mails.
The personal data of the participants of the “Christmas story” competition will only be used for the competition’s purposes, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law.
