A program for the construction, extension, expansion, and reconstruction of childcare centres, kindergartens, and schools.

The Ministry of Education and Science has announced the application process for the Program for the construction, extension, expansion, and reconstruction of childcare centers, kindergartens, and schools.

Application Deadlines:

– For all beneficiaries – until January 10, 2024, they should submit the necessary documents to the Ministry of Education and Science along with a cover letter solely electronically (through the Messaging Exchange Environment or Secure Electronic Delivery System).

Program Budget: 240,000,000 BGN, distributed as follows:

– Module 1 – “Childcare centers and kindergartens – construction of new buildings, as well as extension, expansion, and reconstruction of existing ones” – 40% of the indicative budget for the program.

– Module 2 – “State and municipal schools – construction of new buildings, as well as extension, expansion, and reconstruction of existing ones” – 60% of the indicative budget for the program.

The main objectives of the program are to reduce the shortage of places in childcare centers and kindergartens, create conditions for the introduction of compulsory preschool education for 4-year-old children, and increase the number of schools operating on a single-shift schedule.
