Successful start to the new fencing season for the ‘Corsair’ club

✨The new fencing season for the “Corsair” club got off to a successful start with the “Stara Zagora Cup” tournament for children aged 11/13/15 held over the weekend, marking the beginning of the new competitive year in sabre fencing in the country.

🏅Fencing Club “Corsair” secured a gold and two bronze medals. They were won in the girls’ under-13 category. Ekaterina Chaushheva claimed the gold, while Dominika Mikova and Maria Mancheva earned the bronze distinctions. Just outside the medal positions were Boris Chapkanov, finishing 5th in the boys’ under-15 category, Petar Ivanov in 6th place in the under-11 group, Lora Ganeva in 5th place, and Martina Hristova in 7th place in the girls’ under-11 category.

🏅Fencing Club “Corsair” participated in the competition with 19 of its athletes. Those outside the top eight included Steliana Yordanova, Siana Todorova, Yaroslava Mikova, Stoyan Koichev, Diana Angelova, Nevena Sabotinova, Ivalen Popov, Maxim Marinov, Samir Abdula, Katerina Mikova, Plamen Hristov, and Veselin Vulev. For many of them, this was their first competition of this caliber, and with their performance, they signaled their potential for future success.
