Українська⚜️ The organization of Bulgarian Scouts, part of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, is a youth non-governmental organization whose mission is to help children and young people develop their full potential and support their growth into active and responsible citizens. The Scout program is based on the scout method and combines elements that support the development of young people.
About the Training
🌄 The “Leadership Skills” training is aimed at adults over 18 who are interested in the scout idea and would like to create new scout clubs or be active volunteers in existing clubs affiliated with the Organization of Bulgarian Scouts.
🧭 You will focus on practical skills necessary for every scout leader to be able to pass on the same skills to children and young people in an exciting way. You will climb, orient with a compass, cook using scout recipes on fire, make wooden-rope constructions, and much more!
When and Where?
🎒 The training will take place at the International Scout Center in Shumen. Transportation to and from the event is the responsibility and at the expense of each participant. The training will be conducted in Bulgarian.
📅 The dates for the training are September 22nd – September 24th, 2023, with the instruction starting on Friday after 6:00 PM, and the event concluding on Sunday after 3:00 PM. Accommodation for participants will be in rooms for 4-6 people, male/female. If desired and weather permitting, camping is also possible. Full board is included – from dinner on September 22nd to lunch on September 24th. All materials needed for the training are provided.
Conditions
📌 The training is partially funded by the international scout fund “Messengers of Peace.” A fee of 40 BGN is required from all participants. When creating a new scout group or joining an existing one, this amount will be deducted from the annual membership fee. The deadline for fee payment is September 15th, 2023.
📌 For the participation of mediators/leaders/volunteers working with vulnerable groups, only the participation fee is not required. Their participation is fully supported by UNICEF Bulgaria.
