International Youth Conference

Get ready for the 21st International Youth Conference, taking place from October 5th to 9th, 2023. This conference aims to bring together proactive young individuals from 16 countries to collaborate on shaping the European future of the region.

Key objectives of the 21st International Youth Conference include showcasing successful case studies from over 20 years of active youth engagement, fostering meaningful dialogues among young people, and promoting an understanding of how to create inclusive decision-making and civic participation processes for regional transformation.

Application Process:

– The conference will welcome 58 participants from countries in the SEE region, including North Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Turkey. Additionally, youth organizations from Germany, France, and Poland will participate as mentors due to their successful experiences in reconciliation processes.

– The International Youth Conference offers scholarships to 58 participants, covering accommodation, meals, and 80% of travel expenses. Those not selected for scholarships can still participate by covering their own expenses.

Who is eligible for a scholarship?

You are eligible if you:

– Are between the ages of 18 and 35 at the time of the conference.

– Have a demonstrated commitment to driving positive change in the region.

– Show an interest in the EU integration of the SEE region.

– Address significant local and/or regional issues in your work.

– Are a citizen of one of the participating countries.
