The library in Burgas is a finalist in a prestigious European competition

The Burgas Library is a finalist for the REGIOSTAR AWARDS 2023, #regiostars, in the category “Europe Closer to Citizens”.

Since 2008, the prestigious competition has awarded the best projects funded by the Cohesion Fund that show excellence in local development.

The abandoned hospital in Burgas was reconstructed into a library with the support of Burgas Municipality to help the cultural development of the city. It is now a candidate for the awards. The project was made to support cultural diversity.

The team of the project will present it on 11.10.2023 in Brussels during the European Week of Regions and Cities #EUinmyregion. From 14.09 to 14.11.2023, everyone can express their support by voting in the Public Choice Awards. The winners in the six categories will be announced on 16.11.2023.
