The youth initiative “The Sea and Us”, which cleaned the beach at the end of October, organised a second edition of the event. However, this time, the organisers decided that it would be completely different. It will take place on 26th November, Sunday, in the regional library “Peyo Yavorov”. All young people aged 15 to 29 in Burgas are welcome to take part.

They will have the opportunity to meet inspiring lecturers, gain knowledge from them related to the environment, share ideas, and last but not least – have fun.

The lecturers at the event will be Radostina Tsenova from the Bulgarian Foundation “Biodiversity”, Prof. Dr Nikola Todorov from the University “Prof. Dr Asen Zlatarov”, and representatives of Youth Red Cross Burgas and an eco club from the “Vasil Levski” Language School.

“The Sea and Us” was created by four girls from Burgas – Mikaela, Martina, Gloriya, and Rositsa while they were in the “Youth Academy for Socialpreneurship”. Their assignment was to create a project with a meaningful cause. After presenting their project in front of a commission, they earned financial support to execute their idea.

The initiative was funded by “UNICEF Bulgaria and Burgas Municipality – Together in Support of Vulnerable Children and Youth”, financed by Bulgaria, The Child Fund of UN, and the Program for the Country for years 2023-2027 under the Main Agreement.
