✨Registration for the “Bulgarian Association of Information Technologies Awards” for 2023 is open from October 16th. Registration is free of charge and will remain open until 11:59 PM on December 15th, 2023.

Participation in the competition is open to companies registered in Bulgaria according to Bulgarian legislation, Bulgarian organizations and institutions, individuals, and teams working for them.

📌The 13th edition of the competition will determine the winners in 8 categories:

1. Educational Award

2. Youth Award

3. Journalistic Contribution

4. Public Administration

5. StartUp Company

6. Successful Bulgarian ICT Product/Service

7. Successful ICT Project Benefiting the Bulgarian Economy

8. Special Contribution Award

Seven of the competition categories allow students, young people, journalists, software development companies, software user companies, startups, educational institutions, and public administrations (municipal and state) to participate. The Special Contribution Award is granted by the jury through internal nominations, and nominations are not submitted for this category.

This edition introduces changes in the categories of Successful Bulgarian ICT Product/Service and Successful ICT Project Benefiting the Bulgarian Economy. Candidates can now present information about implemented ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) projects – examples of specific ESG initiatives the company has undertaken in the past year and their impact.

The Educational Award category aims to recognize companies that actively collaborate with secondary schools through projects by providing their employees as assistant teachers in schools and/or developing their own methodology, educational programs, or courses for teachers on practical training in companies.

Nominees in this edition of the competition will have the opportunity to present themselves with a short video during the awards ceremony. Requirements for the video clip are available on the Awards website: https://bait-awards.bg/pages/Nominated/.

🏆Competition winners will receive a comprehensive Agile Project Management training program. This program includes 10 seminars focused on various topics related to project management with agile methodologies, provided by bTalks. Winners will also receive annual subscriptions to legal information systems from “SIELA Norms” and vouchers that can be used to purchase books from “SIELA” bookstores.

This year, the competition features special participation by the co-founder of Bulgaria’s first unicorn company, Payhawk, Hristo Borisov. The awards ceremony is scheduled for February 2024.
