📷The Ministry of Education and Science, the National Palace of Children, the Regional Education Directorate – Burgas, the Municipality of Burgas, the Basin Directorate – Black Sea Region, and the Centre for Personal Development Support – Burgas organize the National Photography Competition “The Sea is not for One Vacation” ’23.
The competition is part of the program of the Municipality of Burgas and the Centre for Personal Development Support – Burgas to mark the International Day of the Black Sea – October 31.
📌Section “Photography”:
The purpose of the competition in the “Photography” section is to draw the attention of students to the problem of pollution of the coastal zone caused by human activity and to provoke active ecological behaviour to reduce waste on the beach and in the sea.
The photos should be related to pollution of the coastal zone and the sea, examples of active ecological behaviour, or marine landscapes.
📌Conditions for participation:
Individual amateur photographers in two age groups can participate in the competition:
– First age group – students from V to VII grade.
– Second age group – students from VIII to XII grade
ONLY PRINTED black and white and colour photographs with a format /A4/ from a photo studio or digital services centre are accepted for participation. Photo collages are not accepted. The photos should be minimally edited with photo editing software – not heavily retouched and should not contain inscriptions, graphics, frames, or dates. Each participant can submit only 1 (one) work. A series of 3 photos is considered one work/triptych/.
Each photograph should be accompanied by the following information: the three names of the author, class, school/club, the name of the supervisor, contact phone, address to which the prize, if awarded, should be sent.

Results:
Announcement of the results – October 20, 2023, on the website of the Centre for Personal Development Support – Burgas: https://www.odk-burgas.com/. The organizers will inform the awarded authors in an appropriate way. The award ceremony will take place on October 26, 2023, at 4:30 pm, at the Cultural Centre “Sea Casino”. All works participating in the competition “The Sea is not for One Vacation” remain in the fund of the Centre for Personal Development Support – Burgas and are not returned to their authors.
