Another successful tournament for the basketball club “Delfin”

The basketball club “Delfin” participated in the Balkan Basketbol Turnavasi for the third time in a row. It took place in Edirne, Turkey, from 15 to 18 August. Three teams in different age groups took part: for boys up to 14, 16, and 18 years old.

There were two teams in the age group for boys under 14 from the club. The team whose coach was Petko Yankov  won half of the matches they played and got bronze medals. The team of Nadya Laleva won 1 of the 4 matches they played in.

In the age group for basketballers under 16, a team of boys born in 2008 participated. They won first place in this competition last year but second place this year.

In the age group for boys under 18, the team from the club was formed from players born in 2006 and 2007. The basketballers, whose coach was Ivan Sgurafov, won bronze medals.

The basketball club “Delfin” won two bronze cups and one silver cup. We wish them luck in the upcoming regional and national championships.
